Benign prostatic enucleation affects 50% of men from 60 years. This figure increases with age. Due to this condition, which compresses the urethra, men find it difficult to void normally. They may develop stones in the bladder and, in the worst cases, kidney failure.
The new enucleation of the prostate with Holmium Laser is a minimally invasive technique that allows to treat this condition with equally satisfactory results than open prostatectomy, minimising the bleeding and, accordingly, reducing hospital stay and full recovery.
During this intervention, which has a duration of between 45 and 60 minutes, it separates the prostate tissue of the prostatic capsule, which allows the patient to regain a normal urine flow.
